Peugeot 2008 P24
The second-generation Peugeot 2008 (P24) launched in 2019 as a five-door SUV/crossover on the same CMP platform as the 208 P21, sharing much of its engine range. Petrol power is the 1.2 PureTech turbo (EB2DT) in 100 and 130 hp forms, the latter paired with an 8-speed Aisin automatic. A 1.5 BlueHDi diesel (DV5RC) is offered at 100 hp. The range also includes the fully electric e-2008, with a pre-facelift 100 kW/50 kWh specification giving 310 km WLTP range, later revised upward.
Because this generation shares its petrol engine with the 208 documented elsewhere in this contour, the same wet-belt inspection applies directly: ask for documented proof of belt inspection or replacement rather than treating the absence of a warning light as reassurance, since this failure mode does not announce itself early. On the e-2008, confirm which battery/motor specification you are looking at — the pre-facelift and post-2023 facelift versions differ meaningfully in capacity and output.
To judge a specific 2008 P24, first establish whether it is the pre- or post-facelift electric specification if applicable, and get a full fault-code read across all control units on any variant, keeping the printout.
