Ford Fiesta Fiesta Mk6 (2008–2017) FIESTA-MK6
The sixth-generation Fiesta (2008-2017) diverged between markets more than most Ford generations: a four-door sedan body style, never offered in Europe, was built for Russia from June 2015 at a modernized Ford Sollers plant in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The EU-market 1.0 EcoBoost engine, introduced in the 2012 facelift, carries the same documented cylinder-head coolant-intrusion risk confirmed on other Fox-family applications, so the cooling-system pressure test applies there; the RU-market 1.6-litre sedan uses a different, locally sourced engine with no comparable evidence yet confirmed.
Assessing an individual example means confirming market, body style and engine from the documents and VIN before choosing an inspection route, since the EU and RU lineups of this generation do not share a single common powertrain or body style.

Pre-purchase checklist
- ☐Pressure-test the cooling system and check for a slow pressure drop with no visible external leak; pull the dipstick and filler cap and check for a milky emulsion; a workshop can confirm with a UV-dye coolant trace or a borescope inspection of the cylinder head for micro-cracks
- ☐Confirm market and body style from the documents — the four-door sedan is RU-market-only and was never sold in Europe, and RU-built cars used locally sourced engines from 2016
