Officially issued recall campaigns — check whether your vehicle is affected before assuming a symptom is unrelated.

  • Jackknife folding key blade may not stay fully extended

On vehicles with a jackknife-type folding key, the key blade may fail to stay locked in the fully extended position over time. Driving with the key partially folded risks bumping it out of the ignition, causing a sudden loss of engine power, power steering, and power brakes, and can prevent airbag deployment in a crash.

Official remedy: Dealers inspect and, if needed, replace the key assembly free of charge.
