The W246 B-Class is a compact MPV/minivan built on the MFA transverse front-wheel-drive platform shared with the W176 A-Class, C117 CLA and X156 GLA. The W246 was the first of the four MFA generations to launch (2011), making it the longest-running of the cluster. Its petrol trims (B 180, B 200, B 250) run the M270 turbocharged four-cylinder in 1.6 and 2.0-litre forms; its diesels (B 180d, B 200d, B 220d) carry the OM651 2.1-litre CDI. Unlike the other three MFA siblings, there is no AMG variant. The W246 shares both engine families with its MFA siblings and therefore adds no new occurrence patterns of its own; all M270 and OM651 patterns authored in the W176 corpus resolve onto this generation's configurations via the engine predicate.
