Overview
Community orientation
The W169 A-Class is the compact front-wheel-drive entry point of the range. Its petrol trims (A 150, A 160, A 170, A 180, A 200 and the A 200 Turbo) all run the M266 four-cylinder in its 1.5, 1.7 and 2.0-litre forms; its diesels (A 160/180/200 CDI) run the OM640 2.0-litre. Neither family is shared with any other generation in the graph, so their occurrence patterns are authored here and resolve onto this generation's own configurations. See the per-configuration breakdown for which patterns apply to which build window. Community orientation only, not a reliability rating or a purchase recommendation.
