Overview
Local preview — inspection orientation

The first-generation Focus (1998-2005) was sold across the EU and, from July 2002, locally assembled by Ford at its newly opened Vsevolozhsk plant near St Petersburg for the Russian market.

No independently sourced engine-scoped diagnostic evidence has been confirmed yet for either its Zetec-SE petrol or Duratorq TDCi diesel engine specifically, but this generation carries a real, repeatedly reissued UK DVSA recall for engine-cooling-fan-module corrosion in winter road-salt conditions, which is an electrical/chassis defect rather than an engine-specific one.

Assessing an individual example means checking this exact car's recall status by VIN for that campaign and relying on its own documented service history for anything engine-specific.

Filtered: DURATORQ-TDCI-1.8 · 1.8 Duratorq TDCi.
