Reliability snapshot
The G01 X3 uses BMW's modular B-series engines and is generally reliable. Reported items are mostly minor — infotainment/software quirks, occasional cooling components, and routine oil service. The B48 four-cylinder and B58 six-cylinder turbos are well regarded, as is the B47 diesel. Keeping to Condition Based Service intervals and correct-spec oil is the main maintenance need on this generation.
